SUMMARY:Forget-Me-Not Choir
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, August 9\, families and friends facing dementia will gather for the first Forget Me Knot Choir concert. The choir has been intergenerational and has included those living with the diagnosis\, families\, friends\, community members\, and VCU students. \nOur FMK choir is a collaboration between the Cultural Arts Center of Glen Allen\, the VCU School of Music\, VCU Health’s GUIDE Center. The choir is one of the social respite programs of the Forget Me Knot Cafe. The VCU GUIDE Forget Me Knot Cafe’s social respite program was recently awarded a $125\,000 grant from the National Alzheimer’s Association which in part supports this choir programming. \nPlease consider attending the 1st concert to show support for our developing choir. \nGet Tickets
