The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federal program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by local health departments. The goal of Virginia WIC is to improve the health of pregnant women, infants and children through better nutrition and access to health care by providing free healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and referrals to other services. To be eligible, participants must live in the state of Virginia, meet income requirements, and fall under one of these qualified categories:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
