Virginia's Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (VACCCP) supports cancer survivors from diagnosis to end of life. As early detection and treatment for cancer improve, the number of cancer survivors increases. With a growing population of cancer survivors, it is important to prevent, minimize, and manage the adverse effects of cancer and its treatment and to enhance the quality and length of survival of all persons diagnosed with cancer.
The Cancer Action Coalition of Virginia (CACV) partners with VACCCP to support development and expansion of cancer survivorship. Services include psychosocial resources and support groups with community-based organizations and health systems.
VACCCP is proud to support the CACV Virginia Cancer Survivorship Roundtable (VCSRT) Cancer Survivorship Resource Directory. This resource is a living document. It provides resources for cancer patients from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
