WHAT IS GETS and WPS?

Government Emergency Telecommunication Services (GETS) calls receive priority treatment, increasing the chances they will go through when regular calls might fail.

Wireless Priority Service (WPS) is a companion program to GETS for mobile devices. Similar to the priority treatment GETS provides, WPS offers priority treatment to mobile subscribers at no cost.

WHO CAN OBTAIN GETS/WPS?

Approved users for GETS/WPS are Health Directors and Emergency Coordinators.  All others will be approved on a case by case basis.

Complete the GETS/WPS Request Form for approval.
